Welcome to the Chittlehamholt, Satterleigh & Warkleigh Village Hall website

Chittlehamholt, Satterleigh & Warkleigh Village Hall, Chittlehamholt, EX37 9NT

Our Village Hall is set in the middle of the village between the Exeter Inn and the Community Shop to the south.

The Hall is available for hire for a range of activities, including fitness classes, local groups and societies, public meetings, wedding receptions, dances and other public functions. The Activities page shows what is currently taking place. Hire charges are shown on the Booking page (under the Contact Us tab), with confirmed bookings on the Events Calendar page.

The main hall has a stage (with piano) and a connected kitchen with a serving hatch/bar. The Hall can accommodate up to 100 seated. There is also a smaller committee room. Wheelchair access is available and there are separate, accessible toilet facilities.

The building has been upgraded recently, with the installation of solar panels, a more efficient heating system, improved toilet facilities and comfy new chairs. Much of this has been made possible with a grant contribution from the Platinum Jubilee Village Hall Fund.

Opposite the Hall is the village shop, which is open daily (not Sunday) and stocks goods including milk, bread and baked goods from Chulmleigh Bakery, fresh and frozen foods (meat, cheese, ready meals etc) and local produce. It is run and staffed by volunteers.

The large car park adjacent to the Hall accommodates approximately 60+ vehicles. Across the road, there is a well-equipped playing field with plenty of space for families to enjoy the facilities including the breath-taking views across the countryside (sorry, no dogs allowed).

Chittlehamholt Village Hall is a registered charity (No: 275054). Details of the committee and information on how to book the Hall can be found on our Contact page.
